I
have been quite averse to the talk about how contemporary popular music is dead
and that nothing of quality has seen the light of day recently. However, 2012 -
so far - proves to be insanely abysmal and criminally frustrating (most of this
post is gonna be oldies). As a rough quantitative index, 6 months into the
year, and I have only 5.5 albums to the year's end list, only one of which is
truly memorable. This situation, most hopefully - will be remedied once the new
Piano magic is out next month. If ever there were someone who can step up to
the plate and save the day, Glen Johnson is the guy. P-L-E-A-S-E salvage this
horrendous year...
