No one has yet to die of over-happiness

For three decades now, Alec Empire has been providing those who would listen with the perfect soundtrack for a revolution. Though it seems oxymoronic to promote a revolution for so long, the fact remains that the need for it is still there, and it is addressed negligibly (and sadly often in an infantile fashion) in popular music. This track, together with the opener Activate, is the best from the new album mostly because it shows the long way Empire has come from his early beginnings.

Gusgus, the connoisseur purveyors of tech-house, a band that whose contribution to the intelligent side of house and techno is of gargantuan scale, return with a new album. In this live performance, they team up with Högni Elisson of another Icelandic great, Hjaltalin.

Never cared for Lightspeed champion (nor Test icicles), but the new moniker of Dev Hynes is so decidedly 80's that that trashiness turns gold already. Wait, it's just a Prince rip off... that's why I never liked him before…
